D. Gary Young developed the Neuro Auricular Technique (NAT), which integrates the use of pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils with acupressure by using a small, pen-shaped instrument with a rounded end to apply the oils to the acupressure meridians or Vita Flex points on the ears.
He discovered that using essential oils in conjunction with acupressure was extremely beneficial. Interestingly, he found that acupressure stimulation on specific neurological points with the essential oils evoked a quicker response to specific conditions.
